About

William Van Meter is a New York-based editorial director, writer, and creative strategist with a big-picture approach to storytelling. Currently, he leads editorial and branded content at Artnet Studio, overseeing strategy, longform features, campaigns, and podcasts at the intersection of art, luxury, and culture.

With a background spanning journalism, fashion, design, and commercial creative, William brings insight, humor, and a sharp narrative eye to every project. His work has appeared in The New York Times, Architectural Digest, British Vogue, WSJ., Esquire, Harper's Bazaar, Interview, Out, and more. He's partnered with brands like Nordstrom, Kenzo, Uniqlo, H&M, and Converse, and has authored the true crime book Bluegrass as well as ghostwritten/co-authored memoirs.

In addition to his editorial work, he’s taught journalism and style writing at NYU and Parsons. When not at his desk, he can be found at art openings, music venues, and other corners of New York’s ever-evolving creative scene.
